Blast Pro Series

The Challenge

To accommodate the significant growth experienced by Blast Pro Series, the following key requirements were established for the development of their new website:

1. Modern and Responsive Design: Ensuring that the website features a contemporary look and feel while being fully responsive to provide an optimal viewing experience across all devices, alongside an intuitive and easy-to-navigate interface to enhance user experience.
2. Optimized Performance: Prioritizing quick load times and seamless performance to keep users engaged and reduce bounce rates. Utilizing best practices in web development to ensure the website runs efficiently, even under high traffic conditions.
3. Maintainable, Reliable and Scalable: Building a website architecture that can handle increased user activity and content growth without compromising stability or performance, and have a robust security set up to protect user data.

Approach

To meet these requirements, we developed a custom WordPress theme. This theme was meticulously crafted to ensure that every single element displayed on the site is editable from the WordPress backend. This allows the customer to easily create, customize, and manage the solution to fit their evolving needs, ensuring maximum flexibility and control over their website content and design.

Technical Details

We built the WordPress custom theme using a typical technology stack on web development:

• PHP: The primary scripting language for WordPress theme development.
• Sass/CSS: Stylesheet languages for designing the layout and presentation of the site.
• To achieve the customizability and flexibility required, we used the ACF Pro Plugin to build modules. This allowed us to create dynamic and easily editable components directly from the WordPress backend, ensuring that the customer can effortlessly manage and tailor their website’s content and design.
• JavaScript: For interactive elements and dynamic content.

One of the most interesting features of this project was to create a match brackets for the elimination rounds of the tournament. In order to achieve that, we exposed the fields that the client handles from the back-end into a custom API endpoint. Then, we would retrieve the data on the front-end and render the desired format using the JQuery Brackets library.

Results

Thanks to their new website and modern interface, Blast Pro Series is now equipped to provide entertainment, media content, and unforgettable moments for CS:GO players and fans.
